Hello everyone,

since this is my first post, please be gentle if I do something wrong.

I downloaded FM 2011 and installed it. But when I double click on it, it won't start. I downloaded it with Steam. But with or without steam, it won't start up. My computer is very new, 1TB, 6GB, normal graphics card, vista 7 etc.

When i double click I see the 'hourglass' that i have to wait, it disappears and nothing happens.

By the way, it does the same with FM2010 (legal version).

Can anyone help?

Firewall installed? Perhaps blocking it from running. Do you have Windows 7 or Vista, if it's the former give compatibility mode a try.

i have windows 7. I tried to change the compatibilty, but it doesn't help. About my firewall...i guess the standard firewall is activated....I will try to change it this evening maby it helps.

I am the administrator. There are no other accounts on my PC. Or didn't you mean that?

I have the same problem! And when I double click again it says that it's already running

1. Check if the firewall is blocking it as that happens to me.
2. Make sure your not running steam in compatibility mode as it wont work.
3. Make sure you haven't take the icon that you click on to start it up from the program file folder as it won't work otherwise,
4. Try uninstalling it and re installing it.
5. Make sure you have a compatible graphics card.

Right click the Icon (Steam), then go to properties, then there should be a tab on the top called compatibility, then uncheck the box that says something like use compatibility mode or something on those lines.
