Need help in downloading tactics (I know sounds dumb!)

Everytime I click on download - its says what program I want to open up the file. I did not know which program so i picked Notepad. Now its coming up all jiberish!

When you download it, choose to save instead of open - it should go to your download folder (or wherever you have set it to) then simply move it into Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2012 > Tactics
