Need help regarding wage budget and contract renewal.

I asked the board for a bigger wage budget, I'm playing as Atletico and Aguero still has a silly minimum fee release of 39 million. At the moment he is worth 31m so need to upgrade his contract. I am using 1.1 mil wages and have maximum of 1.2 mil.
The problem being is that when I try to upgrade Agueros contract to raise the min fee release, but he wants a **** of a lot more than 175k a week. But that is the maximum I can't offer even with the extra wage budget!

Any help would be great!
 
Yeh I offered the agent the funds I could but still no luck!
Maybe I should prepare to face the facts that he will leave if he carries on scoring goals!?

Right I have changed my wage and transfer budget, now have 1.4 million available instead of 1.1m for wages.
I try offering Aguero an upgrade on contract but still can only give what he is on maximum. That is as first team and as key player! Is there a glitch because surely would give more for key player! He only has a year and a half left and don't want to lose him!!
 
Some clubs have a hidden wage cap. It'll go up over time if you bring the club reputation up.
