Hi, I've just recently found a problem with my FM loading, when I click on my desktop shortcut for FM it says the normal "Preparing to launch Football Manager 2009" then it is coming up with a message saying "Steam has found a problem with your local game file. Game files will now be re-acquired from the Steam servers". What does this mean, does this mean my edition of FM is basically un-playable now and won't work, or is there a way to fix this, please reply as quick as possible as I would like to know whether I need to buy a new edition of Football Manager 2009 to play it. Thanks :)

Don't worry guys. Found the answer on the SI Forums, it's to do with Steam, not FM. I have to basically delete everything to do with Steam and re-install, I'm just gonna put all my game saves and tactics etc on a memory stick and hope I can use them again. Hope this helps for anyone else that ever has this problem :)

You dont need to to that Kinger, you can still play the game without using steam mate.

CLICK Computer>C Drive>Programme Files>Steam>Steam Apps>Common>Football Manager 09> Then double click the FM 09 icon.
