Hello there, I am currently playing as Burnley, my third season and I currently leading the premier league with 8 points.

However, all of a sudden my Poacher (Vaclac Kadlec) had stopped scoring goals - He has been a beast up until now, scoring in general one goal at least per match.

But now he hasn't scored in over 5 games and I after looking through an entire game in rather slow speed I am starting to think it is because of my wingers and my poacher's positioning.

I have started to notice that my winger did that an insane amount of good crosses have stopped crossing and basically never tries to pass the opponents but instead make a simple short pass to one of my defenders / midfielders.

And as for my poacher, if I am not totally lost the poacher should be lurking in the middle of the field, hugging the last defender. That is how it has been, I believe, because he scored quite a lot of times through crosses. Now he oftens down to the sides and as such has a hard time getting any decent chances to score, before I am pretty sure he tended to stay more in the center of the field / box and got a lot of opportunities from crosses / passes from the midfield.

So in essence I want my poacher to stay in the center of the field and box and my wingers to start crossing again.

Thanks

A poacher usually needs a big man up front with him to knock it down and if your getting good crosses from the wingers a big man with good heading ability would be great!!

play a simple 4-4-2 with a big man up front on target man support/attack makes a big difference in my save since andy carroll has came back my poacher has scored 4 goals and had 1 assists in 2 games

use vuckevic as inner forward

by doing that he could be sort of a second striker, and i think that is what u need =)

change to adv forward maybe.I used this tactic before Christian Beniotez ended up top scored when I changed it to adv forward.

Im also with Burnley in my 4th season now, you should play vukcevic as an advanced playmaker (attack) and mabye try and get another forward to go with kadlec so he has someone to play off.

As far as his goalscoring is concerned, dont worry about it, he didnt score in the first 3 games of the season for me, now he has 18 in 12 apps!!!

If you are looking for a striker, Artem Milevskyi is currently free in my game and is a great player to get the ball and hold it up at the front.

kadlec is certainly not a poacher poor composure and positioning the reason why, hes better on the left wing iv found

If you want your Poacher to stay upfront all the time, lower his closing down to 0, and set his wide play no 'normal' .Move to channel will make him drift wide all the time which is bad.

Also, crossing + poacher won't work. If you want to use a classic winger , you'd better play 4-4-2 with Target man so he can flick the crosses to your poacher. If you insist using 4-3-3 then use inside forward instead.
