Need help

posted this in the steam help section and got a couple of replies but nothing worked. When i try to load steam it tries to connect the comes up with this error:

Could not connect to steam network
There may be a problem with your internet connection or the steam network. Please contact www.steampowered.com

Its not my internet
I cant get into steam to verify game cache
i have tried deleting clientregistry.blob
tried deleting everything except steamapps and steam.exe
added it as an exception in my firewall and all the antivirus stuff

any help would be appreciated as im getting quite p***ed off at steam.

yeah unfortunately had to do that a couple of times. raging because i cant play a game ive bought! Has nobody else had\this problem?
