Need to load more leagues but if I do my game will be too slow!

So I play fm on a MacBook Pro, and I only have the five big leagues loaded.l and my game is really slow! I want to load leagues like the Netherlands Brazil and Argentina but I am afraid that my game will be unbearably slow does anybody have tips on speeding up my game?

Do you have the leagues set on playable? I usually have the german, english, spanish and then the league i play in set on playable, and then the other leagues i want to have in my game set on view-only, this way i get the "important" players from all the leagues and the game wont be to slow.
