Hi all,

First time posting on any FM forum. Been playing FM since 99/2000. Think it was called CM back then.

Just wanted to know if anyone else edit's the database before starting the game. I always edit the players with -9 and -10 potential and give them a static PA.

-10: Always above 190
-9.5: Between 185 and 190 this year
-9: Between 170 and 180

Been doing this ever since i can remember. Is this consided cheating?

Also, is it cheating if lets say i increase Ross Barkly pa from 150 to 173 (example) This doen't mean to say that I'm going to buy him.

I also remove all bans and remove all injuries for all teams.

Always do this....

I do this almost every year... wat i do is set pa at their upper limit... like -10=200, -9=180...

Bt i try to refrain from signing the same lads over n over again! otherwise it jst becomes boring...

I often do this too, I increase or decrease players' abilities to a level which reflects how they're performing in real life, regardless of whether I'm signing them or not. For example, on this year's game I've altered Jamie Vardy's acceleration and pace to 19, to reflect the fact that he was clocked as the fastest in the PL this season and his real life form.
