Hi everyone,
I had a good look around to find any help for this problem. As I was unable to find anything I hope you have some good ideas to help me. Thank you!
My mate and I are trying to run a network game (via internet). Using the IP address it is easy to join the game. Unfortunately, the player who joined the game will be back in the 'join game' menu after a few game days (even before the first match day). We have noticed that opening the 'tactics' can cause the problem as well (could be unrelated as the connection dropped even without opening it).
What we have tried so far:
- Both running the same version (patched or unpatched).
- Ticked 'run as server'
- No databases/packs installed.
- Port forwarding activated.
- Firewall/AntiVirus turned off.
- Use of Hamachi (according to various guidelines, thanks to the authors)
- Use of Tunngle (game appeared as local but same problem)
- Different hosts.
To be honest, we are running out of ideas now. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers, Pete
