Network game question

Okay so me and my mate are starting a game, same update, same game, no editor files etc.
We use hamachi to connect and then to join my game he enter the hamachi i.p and it works but then just crashes. Neither of ip's FM provides work and neither does typing in the name of server, any ideas whats going on?

And then when he tries to host it just says unable to connect!

Join our network game, download hamachi first and click on join existing network and enter FootballManagerMan as the username there is no password required on hamachi. Once registered, then send me a message and i will tell you how to network with football manager 2011. Premier League. Game starting at 6pm tonight.
