Network problem

Who can help me?

I want to play an network game with a friend, but we can't. Because i have Vista, Hamachi won't work.
I've also tried Wippien, but we can't figure that one out.

Xfire also should work, but we don't know how..
Can any1 tell me what program to use that will make it work?

I have vista and it works fine
Try turning the firewall off?

As far as i'm aware, Hamachi should work on Vista?
