Never seen this problem before!!!

Right...

I am running the game on Windows 7 64 bit...

I have tried upwards of ten times installing it, both with steam and without, every permutation in the display preferences, deleted the xml files, downloaded numerous face megapacks - but still I cannot get any player faces in my game.

Even when the game is instaled for the first time there are still no player faces...

I have downloaded all 3 patches and it still makes no difference... I know this is purely a cosmetic issue, but all I get are the default silouettes and lets face it, its boring...

Anyone that can shed some light on this issue will be instantly hailed as a God to me, because I have been trying in vain for about 3 days to sort it out.

I have tried once in the my documents/sports interactive/graphics/faces thing...

And also downloaded a Facepack that you just copy into the program files/sports interactive directory...

It is proper baffling me how its happening on a freshly installed game...
 
Have you followed the instructions when you have downloaded them?

none of mine are in a /faces/ folder, try without that, just moving them up one directory.

What folder the files are in does not matter below the graphics folder - as long as they have a config.

@ thegoddamthing - Have you gone into prefrences in game and unticked 'Use skin cache' and ticked 'Reload skin on confirm'?

Thats one thing I dont think I have done, I dont think I have put a config file in the faces folder, I will give that a try too..
 
Have you put them in as folders or as .rar files?

I don't think they work if you put them in as rar files. If you have put them in as a folder also make sure you un tick use skin cache and tick reload skin on confirm (then confirm, of course)
 
i downloaded my own megapack form a different website and just copied into document/sports interactive/ football manager 2011/ data
and work fine for me try that
send me your email adress and ill send you the facepack if you wnat
 

Giving your email out isn't the best idea. Should just ask him to PM you the link.
 
The folder doesn't matter, so long as it's somewhere within your FM11 documents directory, and accompanied by a matching config.xml.
