Manchester United captain Gary Neville is back in the squad to face Middlesbrough after more than a year out through injury.

Good news with Vidic out, but i think when he gets back Neville will/should be dropped and Brown kept at RB

Do Man Utd fan's actually rate Brown?

I despise him as a defender. Don't think he has any talent what so ever....and i am pretty sure if Man Utd sign someone in the summer a RB will be high on the list.

I'm sure most fans are hoping he does leave Man Utd.

How he gets in the England side is beyond me.

I dont rate him much at RB, hes an ok fill in, but i rate him as a centre back, hes not as good as rio or vidic but hes very good backup and wouldnt hesitate putting him in.

agreed i think hes a good CB and would get in most prem squads 6th and below

fergie wouldnt keep someone **** in the squad for so long if he didnt have any talent

(waits for someone to come back at me with a **** players hes kept for ages)

Well if Fletcher wasn't Scottish he might not have played as much in the past few years :P Nah he does ok. And Silvestre probably would have been sold last year or the one before had he not got two bad injuries. And Djemba Djemba couldnt cut it but was kept a while. But generally you're right.

Well after nearly an entire season at RB as part of the best defence in the Prem, I can't see why people wouldn't rate him now, or at least accept he's done well, he's been good. This is probably his best run ever and he's done more than ok. I think its at CB that he has more costly lapses-sometimes his concentration can go and thats worse as a CB than RB, although he is better at tackling heading etc than going forward.

He gets in the England squad because Micah Richards was injured, Brown has proved he can fill in for Neville for Utd so why not England, and there's hardly an abudance of English right backs.
