Right. Here is my conflict...
I have been the Newcastle boss for a couple of seasons now, and season by season got better results.
Last season Mike Ashley finally released control of the club from his clutches.
This was the season the team did a ridiculous job in the league and finished 2nd. We also managed to get to the quarter final of the champions league and lost to Barcelona.
Here I sit in pre-season with a very young but also very motivated Newcastle squad preparing for a push to try go the next step in both the league and on european fronts. Then it happens, not one, but two job interviews. Not bad ones either. Liverpool- The team I support and then the big one. Real Madrid.
I cruise through both interviews and am left looking at my inbox at 2 highlighted boxes. Both teams offering me the job...
I am left here with a decision to make. Do I go and chance my hand with the managers job at the club I support? Do I make the big money move to one of the giants of the game? Or... Do I stick with a blessed bunch of lads at Newcastle who have been ever improving?

Help please!!

if you want to win everything with little effort on your part, go for Real madrid. Liverpool is a tough one, gerrard is getting old and usually always getting inured, with a decent young stock but inexperienced. For more of a challenge, i'd go liverpool.

Missed out on the Liverpool job as they didn't like being delayed. Strange appointment of rafa benitez!
Real Madrid was too good to stay

I would have stayed to try and use that young promising squad to win a few trophies but good luck at Madrid it should be fun with that money

Seriously dodged a bullet there! Newcastle are up to their eyeballs in debt. Montella took the reins and signed plays on massive wages and are now hoping to sell players to balance their books! 7 points clear in the league, the Madrid switch has been a good choice!

Great time to sign some of those promising young players you brought to Newcastle on the cheap... ;)

I've had a similar scenario with my first big save. After 4 seasons I won the Champions League with Benfica, beating PSG, Porto, Bayern and Shakhtar in the process, as well as 3 consecutive league titles. About a week before the CL final Liverpool (I'm also a Liverpool fan) sacked Luis Enrique. I applied knowing my contract was up at the end of the season with Benfica anyway, the interview was the morning of the final, the board approached me for crisis talks 2 hours before the final... Anyway I beat PSG in the final and buy 10:00 Sunday morning I'd been appointed as Liverpool manager.

Unfortunately Liverpool have performed so poorly the last few seasons that the reputation has declined to the point I could only manage to sign one of my ex Benfica players, a natural wingback on both sides so a great player to have, but not going to change things round alone!
