I have just been messing around with different shapes and style on PS, and come up with a couple of nice designs.

Well, that would change depending on the team, usually to relfect the teams second or third colours.
 
Prefer the idea of V2 but still think it needs much work to be game ready.

Not keen on the dirty gold outer ring, and it doesn't seem perfectly circular?

Tone down the effect on the badge also.

But it looks a lot better having stripes in the BG than the faded badge.

It is a quickly thrown together idea. If and when I get the interest to make it available to download, I will re-do the whole template. Thanks though, nice and honest :) The outer ring will be changeed in colour depending on the team and their 2nd/3rd colours. I just used the gold to see the layers as I was creating.
 
Version 2.. don't like the idea of a crest behind a crest. :)

I would say try and avoid using the big outer ring. Maybe a small border or something could be the way forward..

Yeh sorry didn't mean to sound mean lol. It's a good effort.

I read the comment you said to the other guy about the colour changing, fair enough. Keep working on it.

I won't download, but that's only because I don't download club logos or kits anything like that.
 
theyre both nice mate in particular v2, but itll take something extra extra special to drag me away from the silky sideways
