just a few questions about traing a player in new positions. first off i know how to do this but dont know how long it takes.

for example im currently trying to train mamadou sakho to be a defender left. hes currently accomplished at this, but is there any chance he will be come natural at it? will it work faster if i play him there?

its says workload for new position is 10% is there anyway to increase this?

can u only train players in new positions if they already have some rating in that position?

any help on this subject would be great. thanks

He's a DL already, no need to train him to become this.

You can't increase the 10% workload.

You can train players to any position they suit, you see a green dot next to players when they're in positions, if you move a player and it turns to ORANGE then the player can play in that position, so you can train them the new position, but if it turns red you can't re-train.

In my experience Accomplished is the best you can hope for, play him there and don't train him to be DL as it just increases workload and will make him unhappy at workload and will increase injury possibility.

Good luck!

no if he is accomplished he can turn into a natural in that position, just train him in that position and keep playing him there, he should change to that position soon enough, can take from 5 months til 2 seasons depending on how good they adapt

I signed Juan Manual Vargas, who is a DL,ML,AML, who i usually play AML... well i've managed to train him to an accomplished AMR.

I´ve noticed that a player of mine (Ashkan Dejagah), that was an AMRC, after playing the whole season as a right winger, changed to AMR only. I didn´t train him. Also Axel Belinghausen, which was an WBL/DL/ML, natural wing back, turned to an natural ML, without training - but he kept being an WBL/DL as well.

By the ways, I think that younger players are easier and faster to train new positions. I had this WBL, Antonin Rosa, that got to be an WBL/DLC with only three games in playing as DLC after his training started.

on my game garath bale accomplished RB without trainin and srna and cesar azpilicueta acomplished Lb without trainin and i noticed it after the 1st season

I tain veloso to be defender and left defender /DC/DL/ but why I cant train some players two positions too?For example Fbragas i MC an I teach him to be MR too but when I try to teach him to be DMC his MR position disapear

i think this is related to the player's versatility. the more versatile the player means that you can maybe train and re train him into more position compared to the less versatile one.

as for training to new position, i got alexis sanchez to be natural AML in around 2.5 season..

1. the time it takes to train them for the new position depends on there versatiliy and adaptability rating and if you play them in the postion your re-training them for. Age will have an affect to.

2. it will work fast if you play him in that position.

3. can't be done

4. you can train a player in any position. outfield, cant make peter croch a keeper. having some sort of rating in the position will increase the rate they attain there new role also.

Also if you are training sakho as a left back, whilst palying there tell him also to adjust his play by making runs up the left wing via player interactions

actually I'm currently thinking about his training.
I'm Pool in the beginning of 2nd season, bought him in the beginning of the game. Using Tugs, put his training as TT stiker.
He has progressed well, but... as I've really many strikers now, I might need him more as MR/AMR. So, is it better to change his training to TT Wingers or let him continue with TT Striker, play as winger and hope for versatility?

I have one youngters with ML (Natural) without any other position capability. I set him to trained AML and after a while a message appear that infomed be he is now capable playing in that position. When I checked, his AML position has also become natural for him. He is a youngster that have not played in the first team before but feature reguarly in the reserves.

In other cases, I have trained several first team players in the early twenties to acquire acomplished status in new position but only to gradualy lose them when I stop trainig.

Thus I believe that a player's versatility, adatability and its age has certain impact on player positioning training and how well they retained that training.

It is not advisable to keep a player on positioning training all the time as it takes 10% of training from your normal training. You will noticed that the training overall workload will decrease if you put a player in positioning training. If you also ask that player to train Preferred Players Moves (PPM), it will take another 20% trainig workload from your normal training. From what I have monitored for a few of my players. This will inadvertently cause some of your player stats to decrease.

So currently, I only either train poisition or PPM at any one time.
