New Problem with my PC

Any way the problem.

The system loads up fine, it allows you to enter your password, it then goes to your desk top as normal.

But once at the desk top it gives you 1-min maybe 1& half if your lucky.
After about 1min approx nothing happens and the screen just freezes.. You can open almost any program FM 09
internet, Norton but it will still freeze.

We have opened it is safe mode and ran a security check only to find nothing.

To be honest with you that is pretty much it.

Anyone have any ideas ?
 
What make is it? - Try taking the battery out of the laptop...and run via the cable only.

Also just because you mention FM09 doesn't mean it should be posted in here, this appears to be a general computing issue so moved it.

OK. Similar thing happened on my Acer. It was two years old and the battery life was about 11mins at 100%. Eventually the computer just froze when I logged on and had about 5 seconds to move the cursor.

I took the battery out and powered it cable only and it worked - just wasn't really a portable laptop anymore!
 
Tried that mate, no loy.

Any body else have any ideas?
 
If its 6/7 months old it should be under warranty. Send it back for repair
 
try a system restore, if you don't have any good restore points then the final option is a re-format
