The new team scout report that show formations used, goal times (scored/conceded) and assist location.

How does anyone actually use it or incorporate it into their tactics, and does it work

Well, I play a 4-1-1-3-1. So 1 goalkeeper, 2 fullbacks, 2 centre backs, a DM, a CM, 2 inside forwards, an AP and an AF.
One of the 2 centre backs has defend duty and the other one covers. To decide wich one (the left or the right centre back) has the cover duty, I look from wich wing my opposition scores the most. If they score a lot from their left wing, my right centre back has cover duty and when their right wing is the most dangerous, my left centre back has cover duty.
