New to FM'12

Hi, I just started playing FM'12 a couple weeks ago and started managing Arsenal, I played for a couple hours, and then I saved and quit. A few days later i decided to play again but it wouldn't let me continue managing Arsenal, I was forced to choose another team. Is this just how the game works or have I done something wrong?

After you reloaded it, did you click on "add manager"? That would explain why you are forced to take another club. If you did, you don't need to add a manager in a save.
