Hey guys, I am playing as newcastle and am about to begin my third season.

My current team looks like this:

I have been unlucky enough to not find any regens yet, and I'm looking to bring in better supporting midfielders to replace anita and cabaye in my first team:

Also, my CB's are not as strong as I would like:

As you can see I am using the spin the wheel tactic in this save, I like that tactic it is similar to my own but far more polished and gives me better consistency.

I have been unable to find players to replace these 4 long term so far and was wondering if any of you guys could make realistic recommendations. I want to break into the top 4 or even challenge for the title, but i feel these guys will hold me back and keep me hovering around 5-8th. my media prediction is 6th and I have won two euro cups in a row.

Thanks for the time taken to look and any advice will be much appreciated

Ole Kristian Selnæs would make a great long term replacement for Cabaye, assuming that your playing him as a deep lying playmaker. What role in midfield does Anita play for you, box to box, ball winning, etc. Interestingly I see you play Isco as a central midfielder, how is that working for you as I didn't find that as effective as playing him as an inside forward no the wing or as an AMC (advanced playmaker).

Isco is playing advanced play maker in there, He's amazing took him time to settle but second half first season and second season he really shone. the two CM's are just CM with support set so I'm not sure Adryan would fit that role however he'd be an amazing rotation option for Isco.

Yeah I dont have Norway loaded :(

So 3 midfielders, 1 as advanced playmaker and the other two as support midfielders? Personally I would find that too gung ho for me, I always believe you need someone in the middle of the park to break up the play like a ball winning midfielder (Chiek Tiote).
