I have just bought neymar at the start of my 2nd season with united i won the EPL CL and LC in my first season i play a 4-2-3-1 formation and it works i signed willian in my first season along with a few young players and i was dominating, im top now but the money i paid for neymar plus money ive got to pay out after goals apperances and international games is stupid, i know there are better players out there but none who can score goals or play in 3 roles, the only problem is, is that he just isnt producing on the left wing as IF young was great last season but he needs a break same with willian who i play as an AP(a), i know neymar should be used as a trequestra but nothing gets him scoring, rooney so far has played 2 games due to injury in the first half of the season so i wanted to rely on neymar so i could rotate him with hernandez but he just doesnt score enough goals i play my striker as a poacher but hes awful as a poacher but the stats he has fit a poacher perfectly ive got his finishing up to 18 he has blistering pace dribbling and first touch all that are World class and great technique yet only has 5 goals in 16 games for me which for the eventual £76million fee i really need him to score goals. Its looking like valencia will be the world player of the year this year, but as much as im pleased with that i want neymar to putting in the average 7.8 games like Antonio does!! Advice needed as rooney is back in full training and i will end up leaving him out of my team (neymar that is)

Neymar poacher run on the the ball? Usually he scores for fun. Usually even just at IF AML he plays well without even going into advanced tactics. I'm guessing your tactic somehow doesn't accommodate him, but without looking at it in depth it's hard to say where.

Neymar isn't a player who scores many goals... For scoring a lot, use Javier Hernandez as Poacher
i've got the EXACT same problem jord, he's so frustrating. i play a 4-2-2-2 and have neymar upfront with cavani, cavani as complete fwd (is amazing) and neymar as poacher, however neymar will get motm 2 games in a row scoring 3-5 goals, then he'll get a 5.9 rating for the next 3 games and be a complete waste of space. it makes NO sense.
he should either be good or bad in a certain role - not amazing for 2 games then terrible for 5. it doesn't matter what role i play him as he just doesn't seem to score enough. am considering using him as a DLF-support to see how he goes. i even have neymar trained to run with the ball often, and i set his tactic to run often and i NEVER see him running with the ball, he always opts to shoot from outside the box (even when i tell him not to).

how did you play him and in what team, who was around him etc?
In Raikan's Short and sweet (classic, so no role) and as a poacher. Rotated around him: Hazard, Willian, Wilshere, Eriksen, Gaitan. 4-2-3-1 most of the time.
But like you said, it really depends on his form. If he has great confidence he'll do fabulous things and score a hattrick in 3 consecutive games (he did that), if he's depressed or not confident, he'll miss 2 penalties in 1 game and miss some CCC (he did that too...). The main thing is to keep him in form: if he is, he'll be fantastic.
cheers. i play him as a poacher in raikens might and magic. i try to kiss upto him and praise him but he's just so inconsistent. prolly end up benching him next season for leandro damiao since he's been so dodgy!
i thought that i was the only one who couldnt make him play, its daft though that someone with such great stats for a poacher cannot score consistentaly i have rooney back in full training and i normally play him as a poacher and willian behind him and it is fantastic!! do i carry on with him or look to sell ????

i know he doesnt but we always want the best! this is the best neymar to date but for the money he should be better. but my united team is all fantastic i have only bought 3 players in 2 years im dominating and just beat man city 7-0 at home lol ashley young was voted 2nd best player in the world behind messi and infront of valencia

I absolutely agree as I have all 3 for my arsenal team and in neymars 1st season (my 5th) he got 14 gls & 11 asts in 42 games..
While kadlec got 11 gls & 9 asts in 19 games... played them both as aml with fierro banging them in up front...
I feel kadlec does more but I paid 36m for neymar... my only +10m signing i have made in this save #conundrum
