no element found at line 1 of floating info state_changed.xml

I've just finished my first season on my Macbook and i just started my second one and before the match kick offs i get this msg:

no element found at line 1 of floating info state_changed.xml

It's doing my ****** head in. Any know what's going on or how to solve the problem please.

Had this happen to me recently too.

XML errors are related to "settings" folder mostly.
Try deleting it's contents (You will lose all personal settings like currency, screen size, don't ask again questions etc.)

Here's how to delete your FM settings/preferences:
- Go to Finder
- Go to Macintosh HD
- Go to Users
- Go to yourhome (Shape of a house) folder
- Go to Library
- Go to Preferences
- Go to Sports Interactive
- Go to Football Manager 2012
- Delete all contents in this folder
