No matter what it's always assistant always ->"Our possesion has been horrible today"

EVERY SINGLE GAME almost the assistant coach reports that our teams possession has been horrible today.

I am playing in the First Division South in Sweden and I arguable have one of the better teams in the division. Every pre-match says something like:

Determination disadvantage
Passing advantage
Technique advantage
Height advantage
Fitness advantage

So when I have the advantage in almost everything? Why is my still possession and passing still always ****** ? Even against the worst teams I seem to get dominated.

If my assistant says it's a narrow pitch and we should play through the middle, I generally set team strategy to narrow width.

The thing about following your assistants recommendations is that the tactic familiarity drops when you change strategy around based on who you're playing.

Any advice?

Tactics you using? You could just be losing/using the ball quickly when you have it.

I'm playing a standard 4-4-2. I hit the ADVANCED button when it comes to Team Instructions and set custom tempo, width etc.

The *really* annoying thing is that if I have the slider @ NARROW width and my assistant recommends I play my next opponent using a wide width. If I move that slider - my match preparation familiarity drops to AWKWARD from FLUID. If move the slider back to narrow it's back to fluid. Kind of annoying.

Can't they become familiar with various widths?

Yer you just train the same formation with width and narrow. That's why you have 3 match prep slots.

If a pitch is narrow, doesn't it mean you have less space available? Is it then logical to reduce your space even more by narrowing the formation?

Right, try this

Rigid/Control
Short passing
Close down - own half
Retain possession
Set CM's to play through balls

Your lack of team determination needs fixing when you can. A determined team is always willing to chase a game if you go behind, yours on the other hand will just give up.
