Hello

So I started out with Excelsior and after 2 years there (leading them to a high 12th place finish) I was offered the PSV job at the end of my contract. At PSV I spent 4 years and guided them to 4 Eridivisie titles, 2 Dutch Cups, and 2 semi final appearances in the CL. That included an unbeaten season in my last season. All the while my team played attacking, flowing football, even against the European giants.

What I find strange is that despite those achievements, and my reputation being "World Class" none of the bigger clubs have offered me a job. Even when I have applied to Bayern or Chelsea they have turned me down.

And not just the big clubs, but no clubs from top flights

Is that down to my media handling being 0, since I have my assistant do all the press conferences? I don't know what else it could be, as I certainly expected more interest from clubs for a CL experienced, title winning manager.

Right now I am with Newcastle, having guided the debt-ridden club back to the top flight and we now sit in 5th place in our first season back in the EPL. I am again at the end of my 2 year contract and again no offers from anywhere.

So any tips about what I can do?

Be patient. I'm managing Liverpool in the 6th season now, and had both ups and downs (mostly downs), but I've had offers from Lyon, Roma, Inter and Valencia. That was after the 3rd season, and I haven't had a job offer since, even though my performances have been better.

So, I'd just be more patient. I think that's the only thing you can do.

All right. I was mainly worried that the media handling might be important or there was something else that I was ignoring.

the only thing i can think of that might influence it would be your financial control as clubs aren't likely to want to hire a manager who has a past of bankrupting clubs. other then that i'd say just keep winning stuff and then they won't be able to avoid taking notice when they need a new manager.

condisering that u won alot at PSV, ur status might be untouchable. u just gota wait. then maybe u get a chance to mange Holland or even Barca someday

I wouldnt worry too much about it, the offers will start to come! I started a new game with Burnley, get the back into the Prem and then the Chelsea job became available to which I applied, and got. Good financial control seems to be a good thing to have and also a track record of building a new team is always a good thing, plus trophies which you seem to have!! Good Luck!!

My financial control is 93%. The only attributes that are low are media handling (1%) and domestic player loyalty (35%). I could try improving those but I think if I just keep playing and be patient something will come up.
Thanks for the responses.

That shouldn't be a problem. My Media Handling is 1% and Domestic Player Bias is 10%. So I don't think that has anything to do with it.

I feel for you dude. I'm managing Wigan, just started my 3rd season and I've already been offered jobs by:

Chelsea
Liverpool
HSV
PSV
Random Spanish clubs (Osasuna, Athletic etc.)

I would say it's because your league reputation is too low. Be successful with Newcastle and you are bound to attract big teams.

Question about job status, why every time the new season rolls in I got my status "reset"? I always finished my season with Untouchable (around 3/4 of the bar filled) and when the new season rolled in, the status returned to Stable (1/2 of the bar)

I even rejected so many job offers from big teams like Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Everton, but still the job status wasn't seem to be accumulative.

Mine is the same, it sucks.
