I'm really perplexed at my current situation. 
I've been with Werder Bremen for about 4 seasons now and they don't have an U19 team. My 'academy' team is actually Werder Bremen III (which I think is actually a U21 team) and due to the different age group they do not compete in the u19 league or the u19 cup. I've looked at a few of the players' history and it says that they 'compete' in the local Bremen state league. However, a season has passed and most of the players didn't even get a single minute of action.
This is really annoying me as I think my youngsters aren't getting enough competitive football at this stage as I can only create friendlies to keep them match fit.
I've tried talking to the board about this, and I see an option known as 'youth league' is greyed out. I don't know if this will help me but I'm just curious.
Is there a way I can 'convert' this U21 team to an U19 team so that they will compete in the youth league??
