hello all,

I am new to the game and still trying to figure everything out...
i am currently in the middle of a match and am getting some feedback (not for the first time) that there is too much space between my midfield and attack. i am looking on the tactics screen and can't figure out how to correct this problem.
Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks.

That means the mentality difference between your forwards and midfielders are too big. If you look at Player Instruction, you can see "Mentality" slider there. Try reduce the mentality of one of the forwards. In real life, it's like having the forwards too far ahead from the midfielders and no forwards are getting the ball from the deep. In a way, it's hard to supply the ball from the midfielders to the forwards, creating weak link between the midfielders and forwards. If there's DMC in opponent's formation, that DMC will be free because he's sitting between your forwards and midfielders. If he's a deep lying playmaker, he can be very dangerous.
