Not getting news about contract renewals

In the Touch version I have a shortlist of around 50 players, having scouted most of them, as a result they also appear as individual items in the news settings. When their club offers them a new contract, I only get the news when it's done, missing out on the opportunity to try to challenge it.

I deleted all the individual settings and I'm sticking to only getting news based on the shortlist in general, and for the first time I see that a club (Liverpool), has offered a player in my shortlist (Firmino) a contract renewal amidst the interest of another club. Could that be it or just a random thing? How can you be alerted of this type of news? Declaring interest?

Did you ever figure this one out? Same happens me in the full version, i dont find out when shortlisted players have been offered a new contract by their club until after they've signed (and even then I only see it when I check their contract again). Where should it be?
