Surely the focus of most people is on promising youngsters, but there are some veterans that are worth picking up too, because they cost almost nothing and come with complete abilities.

One that I picked up and served me very well from 34 until 37 (he is retiring at the end of this season and still on great form) is Esteban Cambiasso. Great defensive midfielder.

I also picked Ibrahimovic for one season for 1.9million euros and he was my major top scorer, then sold him due to his high wages to be able to pick Balotelli.

Share your experiences with good veterans.

What about buying Cristiano Ronaldo at 33 years old for 30 million euros? Too expensive?

I got Fernando Llorente for Liverpool at the age of 30.

He is now 37 and has been my top scorer for 7 seasons in a row. His record reads:

2015 - 39 goals
2016 - 33 goals
2017 - 49 goals
2018 - 53 goals
2019 - 30 goals
2020 - 59 goals
2021 - 21 goals

Those are just his league goals!
