Pre-season report
It have been a pretty good pre-season here at Rochdale. We played 9 frendlys, and we won 6 of them. Most notably, we won a competition that the club ran. We had a 5-0 win over Badalona in that competition, and new signing Djima Oyawolé scored a hattrick and Romano Sion also grabbed himself a goal. The team are all in good spirits after the pre-season friendlies and are fired up for the start of the leauge campaign. Another part of pre-season that was good was our game against Ranger. Even though we lost, we had a amazing attendance of 9814! That is just 186 people off full capacity. The support from the fan was brillant, and I would like to thank them for that.

Rochdale claim massive win over rivals Stockport
Rochdale has a great game today over rivals Stockport in the 1st round of the Leauge Cup, but they put their fans through the aggony of a penalty shoot-out. Neither team was able to score within 120 minutes, and penalties we're needed to separate the teams. Tom Kennedy could have won the game for Rochdale in normal time, but the left back missed this penalty opportunity. Rollinson kept faith in Kennedy's abillity though, and picked him to take a penalty in the shoot-put, which this time he slotted home. Sion also had a chance to finish the game in injury time, but the strikers shot cannoned off the cross bar.
The fans went home in a cheerful mood, and are now eagerly anticipating the draw for the next round. When asked who they would rather face, most fans said they didnt mind who their club played, as long as it was a home game so they could enjoy going to the game.

The striker looked in good form, and grabbed himself a goal on his debut. Rochdale didnt have it all their own way though. Sandell then scored a late goal to make the home fans nervous, but it proved to be nothing more than consolation goal. The Rochdale manager said that he was delighted to add another win to his tally, and is now looking forward to his next game
