One v One

Not sure if this is a tactical thing or not, but thought this would be a nice stat.

So, It's been 17 games in all competitions, and I have a problem scoring. I have noticed I have had many one v one chances in this one game ages ago, so I started to count how many one v one chances I would have and scored. So in 17 games, I have scored NONE out of 47 one v one chances I have had with the keeper. They either hit it straight at the keeper, or just smashes it straight over the bar.

Any ideas what this problem is?

What Jake said, you need a player with a high Composure and Finishing really.

im 99 percent confident huntelaar isnt a pressure player or a big game player. the others arent really good enough to consistently slot a one v one imo.

ive said this many times before too. the match engine is just a graphical representation of the calculations amde by the game, the chances you are referring to may not be as clear as you have seen on the engine, they may be off balance of under more pressure from the defender than it appears.. how many of these chances are listed as clear cut?

the one v one problem has been listed as a slight bug ready for a fix on the next patch, but only a slight bug meaning its not going to drastically change

try using more patient tactics, that keep the ball and force the opposition out of position, allowing you to create a chance that requires a more instinctive/first time finish. rather than asking your srtiker to sprint onto a through ball, they have too long to think about the shot and are clearly buckling under pressure

Ok thanks, I haven't paid attention to to if each one is clear cut. I have atleast 2-3 clear cut chances a game.

Either way, I have a scoring problem. Here is my formation. I have drawn 4 of my champions league games so far with a 3 0-0 and one 1-1. Serie A is ok. 22 goals 11 against out of 12 games. So I'm confused :S

where are your clear cut chances coming from? the bug has already been mentioned, but its has its greatest effect directly through the middle, try making your chances from wider postions. or teach your players tries first times shots/places shot. that said, the bug isnt that drastic, if you're missing that many, your players may be snacthing at these chances when they get try playing control more, or lowerong the tempo

Thank you for all your help. I am now on a 6 game winning streak with last 3 games 4-1 win away against Dynamo Kiev (Barcelona lost to them away in real life!!!), Inter 3-1 at home and 6-2 over Atlanta away.

Just before I go, something off topic. With my sig, when it says most assists, scorer and rating, does that mean in all comps or just the league?

Apparently the one on one thing might be a bug in the game that may be sorted in the next patch.

1-on-1's never go in. most goals are scored by headers and long shots (even if the players have low stats in these areas.) just have to live with it unfortunately.

not true, i score plenty of one on ones, last season 11 of my goals were long shots, 16 were headed corners, and maybe 10-15 more were headed in open play, the rest were players getting free of there man in and around the penalty area (off the top of my head i scored 90 goals in the league, and 25ish in the cups)
