Only 3 coaches ARGH!!

I started with Wrexham in the Blue Square Premiership and in my 4th season I am sitting comfortably in League one. The only problem is, the board will only allow me to have 3 coaches!
I have gone up 2 divisions, got about 5 million in the bank and have improved both youth and training facilities...
I have actually tried signing people who are player/coaches too, but it wont allow me to offer them the player/coach contract and as such the transfer gets cancelled.
ANY advice would be very much appreciated.

I have actually tried that but I am probably doing it wrong. It seems that all the players who are player/coaches are retiring players, and as such I cannot offer them a contract.

What's your wage budget like? Reducing it should encourage the board to free up money for backroom staff. 3 full coachs for Wrexham isn't too bad for League 1 to be honest.You can get round it by signing up specialist coaches and then offering them full coaching contracts when they are already at the club - doesn't always work though as specialist coaches don't always want to be full coaches and full coaches often won't want to be specialists for the initial contract offer. Not sure what happens in 9.3 when player/coaches retire, so that loophole may have been closed?

I dont think you can even offer coachs a player coach position beacus on the latest patch my transfer for Darren Bernardf at AFC W was canceled as i said he could coahc as well as play and the board said I had too many coaches.

Thanks Gregor. That's an unwelcome little addition for lower league teams. Those players who can coach are the only way to get any kind of decent training going on. Meh. Need to go away and think on how best to get coaches to Bognor then.
