Optimum Screen Resolution Problem

forgive me but here is what this post is really about...i recently installed football manager 2012 and after installing it and launching the game, before it gets to the start menu it closes down and on the side of my desktop it says optimum screen resolution problem..i was wondering if anyone could help me please i am dying to play this game, my grandma got me this game as an early christmas gift and i really wanna play it,please somebody help me ASAP..thanks!

It would've been responded to if put in technical help. People don't ignore posts and help when they can but it would take a while bearing in mind it's chrimbo eve. just have to be patient.

And I don't know the answer unfortunately, but I'm sure somebody will.

but seriously, right click on your desktop, go to display settings and tell me what resolution your running
