I thought it might be a good Idea to write our own Tactical Bible, similar to FM Britain.
Its got to offer an IN DEPTH look at player roles, formations, mentality. That sort of stuff.

Now, this is a MAMMOTH task. And one I'd really rather not do on my own. So I'm going to need some help off of some of you lot.

THINGS WE'RE GONNA NEED:

-A write up of EVERY Role and Duty in FM2011
-Individual Formational Guides. With Best Mentality, Closing Down,Marking systems, the lot.
-How to play each Mentality (e.g Counter-Attacking)
-The Advantages of Approach (e.g Fluid, Rigid)

As you can see, this is a big ask. But I think that with the right people it will be easily done.

Please:
Write in detail, then PM me a link and I'll spellcheck/go over whats been written.

If your interested in writing just tell me, then tell me the bit your going to write about so we don't have loads of articles on Short Passing Football.....

PLEASE HELP :D

I looked at this before and there is one on FM-Fanboys, but that was the reason why I put up my own thread and got people to contribute it at our own pace. It would then collect articles, put it in a .PDF attachment and then put it on the thread for people to download or view and read. I would love to contribute to this if it gets rolling, as it would be a collaboration good stuff and be highly beneficial.

Yeah, But I feel that the Chalkboard sometimes lacks detail. Whereas this will be Checked to make sure articles are properly detailed :)

Lacks detail in what sense. Sure, some of the articles are half-hearted (my own ones, not others) but they generally fill all of the cracks with information and also has quick and helpful feedback towards those who were curious. It has tactics available, screenshots, shortlists and mass credit to those who are involved.

A Tactical Bible would be good and all, but the Tactician's Chalkboard thrives on putting detail and precise information as much as any other similar thread.

I didn't mean the articles, what you have are very helpful. I mean in the sense it doesn't cover everything, like a tactical bible. Didn't mean any insult.

I know, I wasn't taking it as an insult, I was just confused at it lacking detail. Your point is fair and I am not going to come off as bitter and ruin this thread.

No Worries, any help your willing to give would be appreciated greatly

Just Bumping..

Fantastic idea good timing just lost all of my guides that I had downloaded due to a strange HDD error. One of the guides talked about implementing the playmaking style and counter attacking style.

Well, suggest me stuff to cover and I might do it. The passer/destroyer/creator combo is already covered in a couple of my guides, so that'd be easy. As it is, I'm a bit tied up doing the D&C blog, so I'll help when I can.

Wait, you're involved with the Dots and Crosses blog?

Yeah, If you wanna do The p/d/c combo would be much appreciated, You also did the formations sticky so if you want to cover a couple of those it would be massively helpful.

If you wanna write up about them, would be great :)

The reason that the chalkboard doesn't have that much stuff is because there is not much people that like writing articles but good idea.

I'm not a tactical genius so not contributing anything but good luck with this, it's gonna take ages to finish but hopefully you do a excellent job in it. I especially need help with set-pieces because I don't know what instructions to give and it would be a interesting read!
Again, good luck with everyone making the articles. Hugely beneficial to us FM noobs :)

This will help a lot of people. I think this is a great idea.

The guide that Im talking about is on fm base called " The unofficial FM 11 guide" it comes from http://www.footballmanagerft.co.uk/ but the site seems down, so unless theres is a problem using it to but in your guide because that what is going to be good about this if it comes off its all going to be in one place

Back on topic from me:

On my fansite, we've just started assembling a team of tacticians to put loads of guides together. Will be interesting to see how they compare.
