As newcastle I brought the following players in:-Franco Zuculini = FreeAntonio Adan = FreeCarlton Cole = FreeMason Bennett = FreeAlbert Cerri = FreeMateo Musacchio = 2 MillionKeisuke Honda = 1.6 MillionHowever I need a striker and I'm unsure who to get, there is Shane Long who iv heard good things about & Leandro Damiao who alot of people always recommend others to get, so with you help I'm hoping you could shed some light on who to get. They both cost around the same so either one is fine.

Shane Long is older but ingame produces results more quicker. Plus he's English and will help your HG quota shud you end up in EURO/C L.

Shane Long isn't English, he is classed as home-grown though.

Home Gown dose not mean the player is from the country the club is based in, it means he's been trained by the club the country is based in, for 3 years before his 21st Birthday
Shane Long joined Reading in 2005 when he was 16 meaning he easily reached the necessary 3 years before he turned 21.
That's why an Irish Shane Long meets the English quota for Home grown players, since he's seen as a product of the English system.
