Hey Guys, I just started a game with Newcastle and started off suprisingly well bouncing between 4th and 8th place, beating Liverpool at home 1-0 in the league and 3 days later away in a classic 2-3, League Cup 4th round tie. Bonzer

Owen and Martins can't score for toffee though so I thought I would try and get a bit of money for Owen as I knew his contract was up at the end of the season. I wanted a quick deal and I accepted 5mill from Tottenham but I must not have noticed Inter coming in with an 'End Of Contract' offer.

Low and behold he decided for Inter and I got **** all for the transfer.

Anyway what I want to know is, Why can other clubs bid for people on end of contract but I cant? I looked at Heskey who has exactly the same contract expiry date but no option at all to offer him an end of contract offer.

Please, please can somebody explain this?! I'm distraught - I needed that 5million to pay for Criscito ;(

Your help is much appreciated. Answers on a postcard.

Thanks

English clubs can't do it to other English clubs. But obviously Inter are Italian so they could :D

Ahhh that would make some sense. I looked at a few out of contract and I could offer Nakamura a couple of years to see if he cant turn any heads south of the border. Your theory must be correct then kind Sir.
Sadly he hasn't turned any heads so far. He's going to be a European Cup home player for me. Top of the Prem so far though!

P 7 - W 6 - D 1 - L 0 with a healthy 15 scored and 1 against.

I think the defence to have on FM is Criscito, Taylor, Thiago Silva and Coloccini.

Thanks for your help, Sean.
