Hi i was just wondering if anyone had any outrageous offers for their players that they wanted to share. Also, did you accept? i'm always i a dilemma as its usuallly for my best player and i get scared about who im going to replace him with/if i can affored the replacement/will he want to come to me?

any thoughts?

I'll start by attaching my most outrageous offer received.

41million plus Adriano fro C. Ronaldo...

after much debate i said no. i know i could have got messi for less money but the winker had finished the season on a cracking run of goals.

75 million for yossi benayoun and i rejected it and he then won the ballon d or

I dont think thats a good offer considering he is arguably the best player in the game, ive used the realtime editor once and his actual sale value was in excess of 100 mil ive offered 100 mil for him and they came back with 120 mil as a negotiation, so id expect to get in excess of 70-80 mil plus adriano who is good in this game but a shadow of the player he was in 2005

I sold Derek Boateng (450k at start) for 25M to Fulham in the start of second season.

im not a fan of the real time editor, for me it takes all the fun out of the game as you know exactly how good a player will become, rather than having to rely on the quality of your scouts and coaches.

'arguably the best player' is correct. im a united fan and i would much prefer to have messi in the team over ronny. both in the game and in real life. i know the football world has been tainted by man city and (although not recently) chelseas money but with 41million pound you can get alot of quality, especially when you opt for youth players as i do.

also lots of players in spain seem to negotiate their minimum fee release clause to a more realistic level when renewing their contracts. ive seen messis as low as 28million before. so 41million IMO is very good value. when you consider adrianos value (lets say around the 20million mark) that takes it to a transfer offer of roughly 60million.

having said all that, i still rejected it as im never confident in prising young messi away from barca.

Real offered me £8 million for Gerrard this morning. I was thinking of reinstalling my game hahaha.

thats another good way to go, whats the most pathetic offer anyones had?

ive had barcelona offer me 10million plaus 50% of next sale for david villa before, he was worth 34million at the time and double world player of the year. horrific offer.

How you guys get so high offers for your players? By counter offering? After my first season where I won the league, carling cup and champs league with Man Utd, all I got was around 4-6mil for Anderson and about aprox. 14mil for Tevez.

I got many admirers for Cristiano, but no one dare make a solid offer! Hehe. Thank God!

im not sure why this is keano. in my games i never transfer list anyone, except reserves that i dont intend to keep. most players have a squad status of first team or indespensible. (youngsters have hot prospects/rotation) and i usually ignore or respond with a hands off to any transfer speculation.

maybe my perceived lack of desire to sell by the game ups the transfer offers from clubs to try and entice me. it could just be their outstanding performances of course...

if your anderson only got a handful of starts that season maybe other clubs think u dont want him and offer a low price in the hope u will say yes. as for tevez, who knows???

i dont negotiate these prices very often (meaning 41.6mill plus adriano was a straight offer from inter, i didnt go back to them and ask for it) as usually i find they just say no and end their interest.
