Does anyone have success when they go to overload? From my experience it is the least effective thing on the game. Your meant to go to overload to try and score goals but literally every time I switch to it I end up conceding and never even seem to make chances (that goes for any mentality late on in the game). I even switch to 'Rigid' so my defenders don't try and start attacking too much and still I always concede.

Does anyone else have success with this? If you do would you mind telling what you do?

Thanks :)

Yes, I actually ended up winning the Champions League in 2018 with Schalke. Playing against PSG and was 1-0 down, 20 minutes left. Hit the post twice prior to it and one disallowed goal left me feeling a bit cheated so I changed to Overload. Shouts I used were Go Route One, Run at Defence & Shoot on Sight. Draxler scored in the 93rd minute to take it to extra time. Won on penalties 4-3.

Usually if I need a goal to win a match or draw I'll Overload on the last 30/20 minutes, especially if the opposition goes more defensive, formation, tactics & subsitutes. For example if they bring on a defender for a winger then that usually tells me they intend to shut up shop and won't try to battle me for possession, more relying on keeping the ball out of their net.

It's best to be used if you struggle to create clear cut chances and your only hope is an opposition mistake, otherwise you are best sticking to your original game plan if it seems you were previously making chances. Let's say I'm losing at half time, I go overload for 5-10 mins at the start of the second half in hope to catch the opposition cold hoping they're complacent or anxious, but my tactics create lots of chances anyway so it's rarely used towards the end of the game even if I'm losing.

I use Overload mainly when I'm losing by a goal, and invariably later on. Have had good successes with it..

don't forget to change ur instructions with ur playstyle aswell. Some instructions just don't fit the overload tag just as some don't fit the counter tag
