On 7th of July 2009 Steve ''Macca'' McManaman was appointed as a manager of Oxford United.
Fans are really happy to see an english football legend to join the club.McManaman has told
the fans that he is delighted to be given a chance to work here and he promised promotion.Also he told the media:
-I don't think i'll buy a lot players for now,the squad is good enough to promote.There will be 2 or 3 new signings not more.
All the players were content to welcome Macca to the club.Or maybe not all of them...
McManaman released left midfielder Alex Rhodes because of the high wages the player is paid. Also Steve terminated link with Brackley Town
On 8th of July McManaman made an offer to Luton Town for Tom Craddock.Macca said:
- I really want to sign this player.I must say that he is league 1 class and would be a real threat to the oppositon defence.

First friendly:
Oxford 3-1 Oxford reservers (hattrick by Midson)
First team played really well.The reservers had 2-3 shots and 1 got in.
Right Back Damian Batt got injured.He'll be out for 2-3 weeks

9th July.17-years old Oxrod reservers player Nathan Silver goes on loan to Banbury.McManaman said:
- I see some potential in this goalkeeper,so I am giving him chance to play first-team football.
On the same day GH Academy proposed friendly to Oxford.The yellows accepted the propolsal.The match will be played on 15th July

Oxford 4-0 GH Academy(hat-trick Constable and a goals by Midson)
GH Academy were the favourites to win,but we managed to beat them with many goals.Perfect perfomance.

Steve McManaman arranged friendlies with Sevilla Athletico and QPR on 19th and 23rd July.Both games will be at home.Macca hopes to get some great results.Luton rejected the offer for Tom Craddock.Macca made a new 250 000 deal.

Oxford 3-1 Sevilla Athletico(Deering,Bulman,Constable)
We played very well and we deserved to win.Half time was 0-1.The goal for Sevilla scored Ikechi Anya,an ex Oxford youth player.

19th July.2674 season tickets were sold

20th July.Luton Town rejected Tom Craddock offer.McManaman will make his last offer for the ex Boro player.

22th July.Oxford announce link with Tatcham.Macca makes an offer to free agent Callum Little.

23th July.
Oxford 2-4 QPR(Cook,Constable)
I'm really glad how the boys played.It was 1-0,1-1,2-1,2-2 at half time,2-3,2-4.I think QPR underrated us.

24th July.Watford becomes parent team of Oxford.

25th July.Luton reject Tom Craddock offer.Macca is no more interested in the player.Goalkeeper Billy Turley was released.

27th July Oxford loan Michael Bryan from Watford.Kevin Sandwith is released.
Macca maces a 70 000 offer for Jamie Mole from Hearts.Callum Little joins Oxford.Yellows manager is delighted to welcome Little to the club.

28th July.

Oxford 3-1 Rochdale(Carruthers,Midson and own goal)
We had a good game.New signing Callum Little was one of the best players on the field.
Macca makes a 350 000 offer for Liverpool's Steve Irwin.

 30thJuly.Liverpool accept the offer.Hearts accept 70 000 offer.McManaman offers contract offers to both platers.

We dominated during the match,but managed to score only a goal.

I think you may get stick for the font, it is quite hard to read.

8th August.Simon Clist and Chris Carruthers were released.3250 season tickets were sold.Macca released a total of 5 players and he terminated Alfie Potter and Ross Perry's loans.It's rumoured there's a financial problem in Oxford.

Oxford 0-0 York
We had 15 shots,4 on target,we could have won this.We at least got a point.I'm not dissapointed

About the financial problem i don't have enough wage budget,but I'll be alright.

10th August.Adam Murray released.He was the captain of team,but he just isn't good enough for Oxford.

11th August.
Kettering 3-3 Oxford(Jamie Mole 2 golas,Luke Foster)

Another draw.Not good cuz we were the favourites and again we had more shots 14 and Kettering - 10.Goalkeeper and defence made some big mistakes,so that's why we couldn't win.

Histon 0-2 Oxford(Jamie Mole 2 goals)
A good first win.Histon were the better team in the first half,but they failed to score.

18th August

Oxford 4-0 Chester(Deering,Creighton,Mole,Little)
Fully deserved win.We hit the bar one time.The best player on the pitch was Deering.

22nd August

Oxford 3-1 Stevenage Borough(Mole,Foster,Constable)

28th August

AFC Wimbledon 3-5 Oxford(Mole,Constable hat-trick,Little)
That's was a hard win.The scoreline was changing often 1-0,2-0,2-1,2-2,3-2,3-3,3-4,3-5
Our fourth goal was from offside.We made many mistakes in defence

31st August

Oxford 2-0 Forest Green(Constable 2 goals)
We were the better team and we deserved this win

Ebbsfleet 1-1 Oxford(Constable)

Well we didn't deserve to win,but we didn't deserve to lose,so draw is fair result

8th September
Oxford 2-2 Luton Town(Constable,Kelly)

The same like the last game.Luton are a hard team to beat so I'm glad from the result

12th September

Wrexham 2-2 Oxford(Constable 2 goals)
1-0,1-1,1-2,2-2.We had a goals disallowed and Wrexham scored their second goal from a penalty.We had to win,but we failed.

13th September

Oxfrod 2- 1 Eastbourne Boro(Mole,Irwin)
0-1,1-1,2-1.We were dominating the whole game.Boro were lucky to score a goal

21st September.Estudiantes Tecos said they are interested in Steve McManaman.Macca replied that he'll not leave Oxford.

22nd September

Mansfield 3-1 Oxford(Constable)
We were really terrible.I can't say more...

26th September

Gateshead 1-2 Oxford(Constable,Foster)
.Good result and deserved win.

29th September

Oxford 4-1 Crawley(Constable 2 goals,Mole 2 goals)
We were outstanding this match.Crawley had 3-4 shots and 1 got in.

I started with no transfer budget and a lot of wage budget,so i moved some of the wage money to the transfer money.

looking good, similar to mine, before the game crashed to me and i hadent saved :(
 
Oxford are a very strong team, 1st year should be very easy.
 
Good luck, my first save was Oxford and I got them to L1 in 3 seasons, good fun.

Barrow 3-0 Oxford
A really bad start of the month.Really bad

10th October


Oxford 3-1 Grays(Mole 2 goals,Bryan)
That was way better than the last match.We deserved the win.

14th October


York 2-2 Oxford(Constable 2 goals)
We had to win this.We had a penalty,but we missed it.The ref disallowed us a goal and he didn't gave us a second penalty.Also,York scored their second goal from a clear offside.

24th October.FA Cup 2nd Round.

Oxford 1-0 Mansfield(Greighton)
A great win.We hit the bar 2 times

31th October.Oxford sign Droghed's 17-year old left back Eoughan Osbourne.The transfer will go throgh on 31st december.Levante and Besiktas want McManaman as their manager,but Macca denied any interest.

Oxford 1-1 Altrincham(Mole)
We just wasted too many chances.We could have won this with 4-1 or 5-1
