PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN

Despite being one of the most famous clubs in French football Paris Saint-Germain have only been on the go for 44 years and have only won 3 league titles, 8 French cups, 3 league cups and 1 European Cup Winners Cup. However as most people are aware they were taken over in 2011 by Qatari investors and are therefor one of the richest clubs in the world.

They have had many famous players in their time including George Weah, Ronaldinho, David Beckham and Rai while their fiercest rivals are the Southern French side Marseille.

This save is not much of a challenge I admit but I have a perverse theory to this save. When I go lower to mid table sides and get instant success I feel it is far too easy and the save loses its appeal so I thought why not go someone big, in a decent league, who hasnt had much continental success and start a new dynasty.

Here comes relegation lol.

PRE-SEASON

The first thing that became apparent was that for all their riches PSG's squad is rather small. Their was only 3 CBs, the Brazilians Thiago Silva, Marquinhos and Alex and a shortage of CMs too. Most of the decent prospects are out on loan so signings were always going to happen...................

PLAYERS IN

My first signing was French international Gael Clichy. He was brought in from Manchester City for ?12.25m. During this save I would like to have a large proportion of my players to be French (like my beloved Newcastle lol) and he fits the bill well.

Next up was the Colombian Eder Alvarez Balanta from River Plate for ?10m. I desperately needed to strengthen that area and he looks to be one who can come in immediately and also further develop. I had several bids accepted but he always refused to speak to me but my persistance paid off.

Finally my 3rd and final signing so far was Neal Maupay from OGC Nice for ?6.5m. I have heard great things about him and never seen him fully develop and I needed another option up front so plumped for the 16y/o.

PLAYERS OUT

Not much!!!! Due to the 4 non-eu rule one of Alex and Maxwell (or even both) will be on their way out as Lucas Moura, Alvarez Balanta and Thiago Silva will be my other 3. Thiago Motta is also transfer listed but no offers have come my way as yet.

Anywho veteran defender Zoumana Camara left to join Montpellier for ?115,000 and thats about it really lol.

My first XI is very strong but if I get a spate of injuries I may be in trouble. Domestically it should be simple enough but I will need all my big players available for sterner European tests.

OTHER NEWS

The board have kindly decided to improve all the youth and training facilities plus I have managed to get Spartak Moscow as a feeder side. I have appointed loads of new staff members and can appoint a lot more but I would rather have the majority of coaches to be French and the quality is just not there.

First game, first win, first trophy. It could and probably should have been more comfortable but we won and thats the main thing.

Throughout this I felt we werent going to win. We played poorly, they missed some great chances but when van der Wiel went off injured I made a triple substitution and Marquinhos came off the bench to immediately score.

SUMMARY

A decent start to the season as we won every match available but we didnt really have a really tough opponent to test us. That said I was disappointed with our performances overall and individually I expected more of Ibrahimovic and Lavezzi especially.

I did further strengthen the side by bringing in Antoine Griezmann from Real Sociedad for ?16m. I suddenly thought of him and low and behold he was transfer listed so we snapped him up and he has started well.

There is a few more days to go in the transfer window and I will hopefully bring in another CB. I failed to get Malanga out of Porto as although I agreed the deal with both player and club I still had to buy the 40% that his agent owns.

Hope this gets up and running man, make PSG a real dominant force in world football. I took over PSG on 1 of my saves 4 seasons in after the previous manager had been sacked after performing poorly in Europe. Had a awful squad, sold lots of decent prospects and brought some dirt, the pain was slightly eased by a ?200 mil war chest however.

SUMMARY

This month, quite possibly, could be the toughest in the fixture list as we played a few tough games. We lost to Bordeaux, drew with Arsenal but managed to beat Monaco and find ourselves top of the table.

My forwards still havent clicked together yet. Ibrahimovic has the odd good game, Lucas Moura and Griezmann have had short spells of fine form but Cavani has hit the ground running. If they click we should be a force to be reckoned with!!!

In the transfer window I failed to get another CB so I have decided to keep Alex at the club until January however I did release Thiago Motta.

SUMMARY

A highly successful month! Sure we didnt manage to win the big one against Marseille but otherwise all went well on the pitch. Edinson Cavani cant stop scoring at the moment while Cabaye and Ibrahimovic have been setting him up.

Unfortunately the injury to Thiago Silva is a huge blow and may cost us some points.
