Passing for LLM tactics

Regardless of how I set up my passing, my players still can't play simple passes and whack their passes off each other's backsides when they don't hoof it halfway to Mars. Does anyone know if this is a bug, because this is a lot worse than it was for FM10?

For LLM I always set passing to direct, and use very rigid formations, because no matter who you buy, they seem to have the technical ability of a dead duck.

I also love when my winger, when approaching the half way line under no pressure, decides that the best option is to thump the ball into the stands as hard as possible.

Oh the joys of LLM.
