Hi, I'm not one of those that find the game real easy, I'm absolutely awful with tactics..

I've tried quite a lot of things, but still can't master the beautiful passing game.

Any chance anyone can explain to me how to get each of your players notching up around 50+ passes a game?

If so that would be wonderful, thank you all.

I set short passing to everyone, including the GK and little creative freedom for the defensive players. Creates that "walk-ball-into-net" mentality.

slow tempo helps.

The slower the tempo, the more the players will look for a back pass. It doesn't mean that they will pass or run slower.

The higher the tempo, the more the players will look for a pass up the field.

If you want a lot of passes, slow tempo will help.

wasting time can help a little bit.

But wasting time dictates how long a player will sit on the ball, especially with "hold up ball" ticked. So it could backfire if you want a lot of passes.

I found the shortest passing possible, slow/medium tempo and 7/8 players on a defensive mentality keeps the ball well and use the other 3/4 players as your attacking outlets, only thing is your defensive lines and formation to decide on :)
