Patch 11.3 problem

I'm having a problem with the Steam version of the game. Steam has decided against downloading the new patch for no apparent reason. I have read that installing the patch manually will have a detrimental effect on my game so I'm reluctant to do so, however I want the new patch! Can anyone tell me a way to get it? I have tried restarting Steam as well as restarting my laptop but neither seems to have worked.

i dont usually install via steam and mines fine

but then i dont use steam maybe uninstall and just use via disc ?

I bought the game directly from the steam store so I unfortunately don't have a disk

Have you ensured that the gmae is set to auto update? It is possible to prevent steam from updating automatically.

If this isn't the problem, then try contacting steam directly.
