Patch Updating Problem

Hi i just installed fm 2011 again after not playing it for some time due to uni work and it isnt updated to 11.3 no mater how many time i run the 11.3 installer. The game isnt budging from 11.0. please if any1 knows of a solution as this is driving me bonkers. cheers
 
re-download the installer using a different browser.
 
What actually happens when you double click the file, is it self extracting part of the way and stopping?
 
oh theres nothing wrong with the file, that downloads fine and seems to install as standard. But when i open um FM its still on 11.0 not 11.3
 
No just goes straight into starting a new game with no option.....really dont get it as this hasn't happened before
 
All i can suggest is re-installing it and then trying to patch again. Also are you sure you are selecting the right patch type? 11.3 digital and pc boxed are different versions for example.
 
yeh downloading the same as i allways have. ive even downloaded separate versions but still no luck. im wondering if maybe there are still some files on my mac from when i had the game installed before that are sum how now over-riding the new install or sumthing
