Hey guys.

Im not a newbie to FM. but I have a frustrating issue.

I started off unemployed (sunday league ex.). Im in 2018 now. Everytime I started with a new club things would start going good. I would put in a good season and build the team and staff for next season. (attributes would be generally better) Next season comes around and everything goes pear shaped. I move on get another club, save them from relagation, following season bring them to 4th spot then boom following season - absolutely terrible. I dont understand. My trainings rating has improved. Player ratings are better then previous players. same goes for staff. I generally use a 4-5-1 formation. Ensure that each player I buy or have are 4-5 star rating for that position.
Iv used this tactic with the clubs iv been at before. Major problem with full backs (this goes for each club too). They always turn in 4.0 to 5.5 ratings in each match. Believe me when I say I know these Full backs before I sign them are one of the best in the league. IV tried tweaking instructions. still come in with **** performance.

Please help.

Edit: In previous FM games i never updated patches, would the latest patch for this help with my problem?

If this fm is anything like the they have been, other teams (aka. the ai) will learn to adapt to successful tactics. Might be time to tweak around, find out how they lock your tactic and players down and adapt around it and find new ways to break through.

The earlier patch, the better. The difficult level on the 14.2 patch is nearing extreme.

Thanks for your advice guys. il try and keep at it. its so frustrating when both full backs every game play so poorly
