Northampton Town Football Club
*Breaking News*

Northampton Town chairman David Cardoza has revealed that Ryan Stubbs as his new manager. This has come as quite a shock to people involved in football as Ryan Stubbs was selling mobile phones this time last week for the phone company Nokia. "Obviously people are going to call this a massive gamble and i would have to agree with them but Ryan is in my view good enough to take this club foward. Whilst Ryan hasnt had any experience at football league level, he has managed football teams before so knows the basics and he does hold a level 2 in coaching badges. I am wanting this gamble to pay off for obvious reasons but i also would love for Ryan to prove all the doubters wrong and prove that there are people in the lower league who can do the job in the football league".

Ryan Stubbs, 45 has said on the clubs website "this is a day that will live long in the memory. This is a massive chance for me to show people what i can do. Northampton Town is a great club with great fans, its a club who should be playing at a higher level then what it is at the moment. I promise to the fans that i will bring the good times back to the club and i will get the team climbing back up the football league ladder",

Despite being in the job a little over a few hours, Ryan Stubbs has managed to pull off a massive signing with a difference. "Obviously working for Nokia for many years, i made many friends, some of which are in high places. When i told them about this job offer, they were all very pleased for me and said if they could help in any way, i should ask. Well i asked and they were very happy to help." Nokia will be the official club sponsor of Northampton Town for the next 5 years.

Pre-Season Review:

After a busy pre-season, Northampton Town boss Ryan Stubbs should know a bit more about his side. One thing he should have noticed is it his side are unable to keep clean sheets when playing a side with decent attack players. Despite having no money to throw around, Ryan Stubbs has managed to bring in a few players either on loan or free agents. The biggest name the Cobblers fans will be looking foward to seeing is 19 year old Dutch attacking player, Frank Wiafe Danquah on loan from Newcastle United.

Transfers:
With a few weeks still remaining in the transfer window, Cobblers fans will be hoping that Adebayo Akinfenwa and Ryan Gilligan will are still Nortampton Town players when the window shuts despite Bristol City and Swindon Town are said to be watching both players. Mean while, despite having no transfer money to play with, Ryan Stubbs has still managed to bring in a 5 players and there could be more by the time the window shuts.

MID: Max Noble- Free Agent
DEF: Josh Payne- West Ham United- Loan
