Picking a feeder team... How?

I am sorry, I know this has been asked before... but I have searched and searched and can not find the answer.

How do you pick your own feeder team?

The board told me I could pick my own, but I have no idea how to do it. The closest I have seen to an answer is to right click on clubs and it "should" be an option... well I have tried that with dozens and dozens of clubs and have never gotten any option to recommend that team.
 
It's probably a bug in 11.3, because I remember picking a feeder team in 11.2. Now the board, after saying that you can pick the team, still give you a few teams to choose from.
 
I do remember having the chat with the Board and being able to pick who you think would be a good team to be a Feeder, but now I can only see that you chat with the Board about it and see what they think. I THINK what you do is that you have a chat with the Board, ask them about a Feeder club and if they agree with you they will get back to you with a list of clubs that they recommend then you pick one. I don't think you can do anything else if the Board don't agree with the idea of getting a Feeder club.
 
Having a good relationship with the coach of a team does improve the chances of the board giving you the option. I remember getting a feeder team and when I looked at the details of the proposal it said that the good relationship between managers was a reason for this affiliation. (or something to that end)
 
I'm not asking how to get board permission... I'm asking how to actually choose a team once you already have the boards permission...
 
They should give you a list of a few teams, you have to pick one of those.

I mentioned that if they agree to your proposal they will give you a list of teams on who you think would be a suitable candidate.
 
Three things happen when you ask the board for a feeder team.

1. They turn you down
or
2. They say yes and compile a list to choose from after a few weeks
or
3. They say yes and ask you if you would like to find and select a team yourself

I'm asking about the third one.
 
I don't think I've ever seen the 3rd one. The one I've always seen is option 2 anytime I've done it.
 
They give you the option to choose a team yourself when you've been as the manager long enough. I think that it's bugged in 11.3 though, they say that you can choose the team but still give only a few teams to choose from.
 
Ok, if its bugged then... that really sucks. I want a foreign feeder team for my Championship squad so I can start signing a few not EU players I have had my eye on... but all the board ever does is offer me domestic teams.
 
there is a limit i think for feeder clubs. since i had a new board members, i lost affitltes with foreign teams, like in france, and all the way from thailand an usa.

i currently have 3 english feeder teams; doncaster, qpr, and blackpool in my arsenal save.
foregin clubs: hearts (scotland). and san jose earth quakes.

also depends on the boards motivation. like i ask about haveing a foregien club affilate, and their first answer is NO!.

another thing could the ur finance, cuz u will have to play a annual fee to them.

Oh, I've never seen an option to specify the type of club... just the option to choose my own that seems to be bugged. Is it tied to something like reputation or division? My current save is the highest I've ever been, in Championship with a national rep..
 
I have the same problem too.

I was given permission to select my own feeder club, and I can't do anything. I guess for patch 11.3, they give you the 3rd option of having you select your own feeder (probably based on how long you've been with the team - I'm already past 20 seasons I believe).

Aside from that, no options for feeder or re-chat with the boss. =(
