Andrea Pirlo has confirmed he is to leave AC Milan at the end of the season.

The veteran midfielder's contract expires in the summer and he will not be signing a new deal.

The news ends Pirlo's ten-year stay with the Rossoneri, with reports suggesting he is set to join Juventus.

"I am here to say goodbye. These were 10 unforgettable years and it's a consensual separation."

"Do I hope Milan will regret losing me? Yes."

Juventus are believed to have offered the World Cup winner a three-year deal to make the move to Turin.

Absolute superstar, although past it now.

Such a great player, surprised AC haven't fought to keep him tbh.

Would be great to see him in England, although I can't see him leaving Italy.

Hmm. I saw on SSN a couple of days ago that he had ruled out a move to Juventus. I think he should leave Italy tbh.

Ive got a slight feeling Carlo may try to get him if he is still Chelsea manager come the summer. If so I would not want him at Chelsea in all honesty.

You wouldn't want one of the finest passers and free kick takers in the modern game at your club. Right,

I would of done a couple of years ago. He is 31 now and his wage demand isnt proberly too low either. Look how many players Chelsea have bought over the last few years who are in 30s or clsoe to it and havent lasted long. Deco, Ballack, Shevchenko etc and even Benayoun this season who I think will have one or two more seasons at the club at most. We need to sign younger players.

I wouldn't want him in the Prem either. He'd wreak absolute havoc on the pitch

****! ****... ****... Now I can just hope he doesn't go to Juve ...
So long Pirlo, we shall miss you.

Get him in the newcastle team aha. Pirlo would make a crackin' magpie. We need someone like him, solid midfield general, with the ability to do magic from set-pieces. One can dream lol

Great player, although he is now past it (as StuW said) and is on enormous wages. I reckon Juventus will take him on a 3 year deal, they need a top class midfield passer like Pirlo. The Serie A is full of surprises, though, Juventus were relegated a few years back, A.C. get rid of Pirlo and Sampdoria are relegated!
