Wether it be trying to loan out a player, tryin to sell a player, basically an player inter action this year seems to end with him getting the hump.

Its used to be easy enough to find the right thing to say after a few tries but this year they all end up being a d**k and me giving hte finger to a laptop..

Anyone had any luck or just me saying the wrong stuff?

Off to petition FM to insert a "go f*** yourself, your getting sold coz you're s**t" option... :)

Often, telling the truth is the wrong option but if you have to play 'to win' what's the point in playing? What I mean by 'playing to win' is choosing the option which best suits the player's demands so as to not have an absymal motherfu.. in your team! For example, my second goalkeeper (now third) wanted more playing time. I could have told him that in the next few weeks he'd play or that he would be in my plans next season or I could have told him the truth, that is, he is only a backup keeper so he can't expect to play. Now, if you want to 'play to win' you choose the first options, if you want the game to be more realistic you choose the second. At least this is my view on the subject. Then again, if you don't play him in the next few weeks it will bite you in the *** anyway, but at a later stage. But yeah, most players are dicks lol!

Interacting with the players this year is just like throwing a dice and makes no sense. Nothing you say will make them play any better. You tell them they are playing bad it says "Fired up" but on the pitch they turn into nervous wrecks. You tell them you have faith or praising them for something they go straight from nervous to complacent. My assistant has 19 motivating and 18 man management but the only three words he can come up with is "For the fans!" which does nothing (maybe that's for the best).

I keep having similar problems on my current save, win the league 4 years in a row, say lets go and win the league this season and some players are like WTF thats too much! Having 17 year old players talk to you like your **** when your one of the greatest in game managers at the club of all time is a bit unrealistic aswell do you think a 17 year old spoke to Fergie like that!

Mmmmm....... thought it was just me noticing all these abnormal things. FM 14 has really weird player/board interactions. It is hard to reason with any sort of player. I feel like any type of situation is heavily scripted to favor A.I. When you have to respond to player demands/concerns i feel there are not enough options to chose from regarding the situation & your often left to settle for an option that does not suit you. Player management should be made this bad. Why should i take **** from a 18/19 old youth kid that wants first team football? Seriously!! Not that he is a wonderkid or even good enough to be near my first team & subs. Too much player power if you ask me. Its like the players are not programmed to handle criticism of any sort. Whatever option you chose its a promise you make to them & i hate how each chat ends with "I HOPE YOU KEEP YOUR WORD" phrase if i remember correctly. Its rubbish!!

Not only that, even wage demands from 30+ years old players are way too high! Joao Moutinho already gets 7M a year and he's 31, if I offer him a contract his demand is 8.5M and he wants to be a key player! Falcao gets 18M, he's 32 and he wants 22.5M, I dunno if it's me but I find these wage demands rather unrealistic! Let alone the 4M + loyalty bonuses they expect...

Has anyone noticed anything positive this year with any interactions at all?

Even transfers are ridiculous, I send an offer for 5M for a player worth 2M.. wait a few days for an answer and get back a counter proposal for 90m. Bit childish..

This has been discussed already many times.

It's not that he cost 90m its thats he is indispensable to his team and he has a couple of years left in his contract. So its something like hands off from AL to your bids.

What can you do then in those situations ?
Just wait for his contact to reach his last year ( or ideally expire in 6month) and try to get him then and always try to unsettle him talking about your interest in him
(making you one of his favourite personnel too).

Usually this trick works unless he is too ambitious and isn't interesting in your team at all.

well i go with midhaven here...it does happen often... a said player 20yrs and valued at 5M.. I bid around 15M and they come back with 60M or rejected outright..Same day after a friendly, another club(normally P$G or A$Monaco) bids 10M and its accepted..i then can bid for around 12M to be accepted and would have to offer outrageous contract to beat those other clubs...In short if no other team bid is not accepted "go **** urself" you cant sign him..

Yeah, thats another thing I hate. Other teams can make "normal" offers and have them accepted, but if you do it you'll either get rejected or get a stupid counter for 10 times the players value. This includes low reputation teams. But when a higher reputation team makes a bid for your player you have to agree on fair price or the player becomes unhappy. Never seen an ai team's player become unhappy after I've made bids.

Example, Barcelona released Valdes and made a 10M offer for my keeper Szczesny. Heeeeell no! Maybe 35M, and ofcourse they rejected the counter offer. Few days later im forced to sell him for his value because he became unhappy.

Exactly. I was Lazio, offered around 10M for Berardi (Sassuolo, Serie B). They wanted 30M. A season or two later with Monaco I can't remember who make an offer of 4.8M and they accept, of course Berardi now plays for Monaco :D

So many strange random things happening. Yesterday I received a transfer speculation about Barcelona now wanted one of my defenders too. Already lost my keeper to them, now they want my defense aswell. I issued a hands-off warning. Figured it will probably make the player unhappy. Well no, even tho he has a ****** contract and is worth more than Pique.
Tho, my left winger Vela didn't like me not selling my defender for some weird reason, and he lost morale instead. Anyone know wtf is going on there??

Ingame, if you issue a hands-off warning about a player, generally some other player will take offence (invariably never the player in question himself, he'll come to you to have a chat)

Well that still makes no sense at all. Guess if they dont like eachother then I can understand. Otherwise, why would anyone be sad that im trying to keep the best defender we have.

Tho Vela is a strange one. Joins the club, plays 7 games great and then wants a new contract. Barely been in the club for a month. Hes never geting renewed after this. Got that sucker for nothing on a 5 year contract, welcome to the reserves dumbass.

Lol, why are you bothering keeping him, if you're not going to use him. Just offload him.
