Player not improving. Attributes frozen?

Hi all. I'm managing Dorking Wonderers, currently in League 1. I signed Nicolai Skoglund at the start of the season. It's now the end of the season and he hasn't improved at all!

He's a 20 year old striker, driven personality with 17 determination. Has been in top form this season, scoring 40 goals across all comps, been training well (normally hovering around 8.0 for training performance) and no major injuries all season.

I downloaded FMSE to track the CA of my first team, and it's stayed at 114 all season. What's more, his player development curve has dropped off a cliff and my assistant has changed him from a good Championship striker, to a leading League 1 striker.

I had the exact same issue with Sancho on a previous Man Utd save. The only thing I can think of is FMSE is somehow freezing my player attribute (I haven.t purchased the license so no edits have been made to the game file). Help!

- Determination
- Professionalism
- Injury Proneness (not a key, but plays part)

FM21 Development seems a little bit slower comparing to previous versions.

- Don't take 100% what AM says. It's an opinion from him.

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate what you're saying but I don't think it's that. He has great determination and a great personality. He's playing regularly and has no injuries. What confuses me is that I am tracking his CA and its not moving at all. Every other young player in my squad has had some development, but his is stagnant. As I mentioned, I had the exact same issue with Sancho in a previous save. His CA stayed the same at 157 for 2 seasons without moving (Sancho himself has very high ambition). This appears to be the same issue.

Another issue is if it's close to reach his PA, player age (above 24 is getting harder to improve), training & youth facilities and driven personality is not great.

Tbf he still has a long way to grow. 140 PA 20 years old and, as I said ,everyone else has been developing fine. I'll see how it goes. May try a loan to see if I can't kick start his development

Because it has high PA does not mean will be reach his PA. If that was the case, then every player in DB will have reach their PAs within a 1-2 years.

fair enough. guess im just disappointed. i mean, he hasn't improved at all! so much potential...
