Player Performances

Hi, I've recently decided to go the route of being a team with good players and a lot of money, so chose Man City. My team I've put together really can't be matched on paper by anyone, however I've one problem, and it's seems to occur on every game I play. My players are always playing around the 6.9 to low 7s mark. I do not know what to do to get them playing better. I have about 2 players currently that are playing with an 8+, other than that, noone responds to what I do.

I've tried speaking to the press about players performances, but it seems I can only do that once every blue moon as it doesn't allow me to comment on my players often, but when it does allow me, it's still only one player.

I've been keeping an eye on my team talks but even then most of my players don't respond to what I'm saying, only 2 players seem to respond and they have the 8+ ratings. If anyone could give me some advice or link me to a guide that'd help with player performances that'd be great.

I should also mention their morale is generally from very good to superb, with the occasional good.
 
Try letting them suggest you some staff ro players, then sign the staff/players they've suggested you. Maybe won't work, but worth a try.
 
Will it improve their performances though? They all seem happy enough at the club, with an average of very good morale, I just can't get them to play at around 7.5 consistently, it's always high 6s low 7s, which costs me a lot as my team always seems to be under-achieving.

just in case, are you on fluid and more expressive creative freedom? you have a creative bunch, and to get the best out of them they need to have a bit of freedom to let their creativity shine. Plus i doubt you will get the very most out of Tevez on the wing. he will be okay, but not at his best
 
you need a natural winger instead of tevez, and I wouldn't play with 2 playmakers. Maybe change the amc to an attacking midfielder / trequartista or the cm to box to box / attacking central midfielder. Play narrow with inside forwards and focus passing through the middle ? Advanced forward works better for me when playing 1 up front too
 
I play with inside forwards, don't use wingers.

It's not so much the team not performing because of their positions, advanced and deep-lying playmakers work well together, they have done for me, this is roughly the same team that won me the league and 2 FA Cups in my first two seasons, and came mind-numbingly close to winning the treble in my 3rd. But now, my 4th season, my players constant poor performances are catching up with me, luckily my league position is still intact, but I've played 3, drawn 2 and been thrashed by Sporting to a pretty bad loss.

They just won't perform.

Edit: Alic, I play fluid, keep the expression to standard. Just moved it to expressive and well, I've just lost 4-0 to Sporting.
 
Try Woifsong's team talks, worked wonders for me

Losing 5-0 to Burnley at home with a full first team out.

Never been this bad in my life.
 
have you been using the same tactics non stop since the beginning? you need to occasionaly tweak and change up a little bit so you are not too predictable
 
I've used the same 4231 since the beginning and it's never failed me. I'm sure some clubs may have sussed it out, but for 3 seasons I pretty much dominated whoever I played against. And I'm sure losing 4-0 to Sporting and then 5-0 to Burnley isn't a tactical error. The players ratings have plummeted, along with the results.

It must be a tactical error, don't see what would be the problem otherwise

Can you show me screenies of the tactic, eg what method you using, Expressive, float crosses.
